Leicester City sign Dyer

The 27-year-old winger has fallen down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium but says he is ready to give "everything he's got" while on loan with the Foxes this season

Leicester City have completed the loan signing of Nathan Dyer, with the 27-year-old joining from Swansea City until the end of the season.

Dyer has spent six years in south Wales, helping the club get promoted before making 131 Premier League appearances and scoring 17 times.

However, the winger's first-team opportunities have been hurt by the summer signing of Andre Ayew, as well as the emergence and form of Jefferson Montero.

“Yeah it feels brilliant,” Dyer told the club’s official website when asked about completing the move.

“The fact that the gaffer wanted me to come here and play some football and help the team keep progressing like they have been, it’s been good to finally come here.

“The facilities are amazing. It’s a big, massive training ground and, speaking to the physios, you’ve got everything that you need and everything is at your disposal so I’m looking forward to getting started and start playing.

“[Claudio Ranieri didn’t say] too much. Obviously things have come a bit late, so we just had to get things done. He welcomed me with a nice smile and I’ll give him and the club everything I’ve got.”
