The Germany international has been linked with a €100 million move to Old Trafford, but the Bayern chief has quashed any chance of him leaving
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned Manchester United that Thomas Muller "does not have a price tag" amid rumours of a pending €100 million bid.
Louis van Gaal's side have already signed Bastian Schweinsteiger from the Bundesliga champions this summer and rumours have emerged that the Premier League side are willing to equal the world-record transfer fee for his former Bayern team-mate.
Rummenigge has claimed Muller is priceless, however, and cannot fathom the prospect of being talked into selling the World Cup winner.
"There are players who do not have a price tag," he told reporters during the Bavarians' pre-season tour of China when asked about the Muller rumours. "Bayern would be outright crazy if we let him leave.
"We haven't received a phone call from Manchester United and there is no offer in existence.
"I know that Bastian Schweinsteiger had the extremely deserving nickname of 'the Football God' among fans, maybe now Muller can have that tag."
Rummenigge also insisted that "Juventus made no official transfer offer for Mario Gotze" amid rumours that the former Borussia Dortmund attacker was set to end his two-year stay at the Allianz Arena.
"I have the impression Mario wants to stay, though," he added.
