Alba ruled out of Celta clash

The left-back is suffering from neck pain - which saw him sidelined for their weekend win - and has been left out of the squad for Wednesday's match

Barcelona have confirmed that they will be without Jordi Alba for Wednesday's meeting with Celta.

After playing every minute of Barca's La Liga efforts in the opening three matchdays of the campaign, the left-back did not feature in Sunday's 4-1 win over Levante.

And the Catalans have revealed that the Spain international is suffering from neck pain and will not feature in the clash in Vigo.

The 26-year-old will be replaced in the squad by Brazilian right-back Douglas, who is yet to feature for the 2014-15 treble winners side this season because of injury.

Douglas joined Luis Enrique's side last season but featured in only two league games, with a further three appearances coming in the Copa del Rey.
